No real organization....
The concept of federated boards is cool. However, /b and /g is not enough. We need other boards in order for this to take off.
>>https://fchan.xyz/b/8G3K560Q Originally I wanted other instances to come online with their preferred boards and then federate with those. But if others want to share board they want to contribute to or believe others would want to I will add them to the current board list. I didn't want a bunch of dead boards that never get posts. So I dont think more boards is better and will create growth, but I do think more boards should be added that other users would be interested in. I was thinking wg, a, biz, lit, sci
i think it only makes sense to add more boards as the traffic on the current boards grows too much and gets too diverse so if people start talking too much about global warming on /b it would make sense to create a /x to accomodate them

Well there will be more posts globally, even if some boards will generate duplication of interests (like /g and /sci, or /his and /lit). Some boards might get viral, like /biz, especially this year. Want some attention? Create a crypto board. Also, if a supermarket is huge, more people will come, even if it looks deserted from the inside.
>>https://fchan.xyz/b/UKNOFMSD >>https://fchan.xyz/b/8G3K560Q I'm making a novel imageboard from scratch, but it's not quite done yet. I still need to make some basic functionality like cookies storing preferences and replying (kek), and some sort of moderation dashboard. I then need to integrate federation, for which I'm largely going to jack the mastodon examples. Because this board is fairly small I'm confident to post the thing as it is in its unfinished state. Development is moving very fast, check back each day and there will be a new feature added. At the current pace, I estimate it will be done, as in all basic functionality is there, in about 30 days from now.
>>https://fchan.xyz/b/R8FMXCUM Yeah, it's stored, but the frontend doesn't render it yet, lol. Currently I'm fixing a bug where parameters won't bind in the statement that inserts a reply into the database. After that, replies can be made and I'll implement greentext and markdown markup for both replies and threads. I'm still not sure whether to allow embedded images and links in markdown however, I'm thinking not because it opens up a can of worms for malicious xss or external content.
