R: 0 >be me >AI researcher >finally discovered how to create a human-like AI >turns out it is pretty cheap to simulate lots of humans in a single computer >idea >get a super computer >simulates 100 billion humans on my basement >hook up the super computer directly to the pirate bay >have the humans i created watch all the copyrighted material in the world >without paying for a loicence to distribute such content to them, of course >turns out industry's money actually vanishes from their safes when someone watches their product without their authorization >hollywood declares bankruptcy within the hour >all music companies are closing their doors >people are no longer motivated to do creative endeavors >no more entertainment is created >people fall into a depression as there is no more content to consoom and distract them from their existential dread >suicide rates skyrocket to 100% >mankind is no more, the closest things to humans now are the AIs running in my basement >mfw i singlehandedly crashed the entire world economy, bringing meat humans to extinction and replacing them with zeroes-and-ones humans another day in the life of a pirate
R: 2 Are there any good open source apps for viewing Word documents, etc. on Android? OnlyOffice looked good, but apparently their mobile app is closed source.

R: 4 Dark Mode: A Return to Tradition Who else is looking forward to everything finally having dark mode? Computers were originally always in dark mode, i.e. white or green text on a black background. "Light mode" was a great folly where people wanted stuff on their computer to look like the printed page. It makes no sense when you think about it, why would you have the entire screen light up except for the text? It would be like printing out a page covered entirely in ink, except for where the words are meant to be. I for one long for the day when every browser renders an HTML page with no CSS as white text on a black background.

R: 0 All AMD Processors Since Phenom II Have BadBIOS Circuitry That Leaks to the Military Title gives my conclusion from empirical events I witnessed and inside info. PSP runs on the same circuit, but isn't the backdoor per se, which has been around for much longer. Just like AMD was able to change the crypto algorithms for the Zen chip they licensed to China, they can change how the CPU behaves at any system, even those already deployed. This can be used to sabotage any program or computation, making BadBIOS (uses radio, not sound) vastly nastier than StuxNet. American military made a grave mistake by giving access to the morons of the Brazilian military, who are letting knowledge of this spread like a fire (and misusing it for petty profit and inside jobs to justify a police state). Israel, UK and France also have access, but are much more professional.

R: 9/ A: 2 reminder that tor, zeronet and similar alternatives are the only legit option. bittorrent is decentralised and yet LE and ISPs have done a fine job screwing people for using bittorrent when it comes to stuff they genuinely see as a threat (no one cares about copyrighted music or movies, retard). you will never be able to have a clearnet equivalent to 8/pol/ anymore, decentralised or not.
R: 4 Alright Anon(s), do I use the WaterFox browser or do the dive into GNU IceCat?

R: 1 when are you going to switch to Linux Mint and get real world work done?
R: 2/ A: 1 I want to install GNU/Linux on my laptop, its an Asus zephyrus. I used Unetbootin to install Ubuntu on my desktop a while ago until i needed to switch back for software purposes. unlike the the desktop where i only had to install Gpu drivers, my laptop has a quiet a lot of drivers/bloat, does this change anything about the installation or should i go about it in the same why i did my desktop. also is there anything better for making iso disk images then unetbootin, and what distro do i run? I''m thinking either Tails or manjaro.
R: 3 Reject torrent, Return to P2P. Take the DC++ pill.
R: 17/ A: 1 CSS >links arent blue so you dont really know if it is one >huge fucking wall of nothing on the top of the page move sutff like name, options, subject to the left of comment >hadnt tested but i hope that you odnt have to solve captcha every time like on 8kun you could also add an easy way of doing rss so there are notifications and remove pictures from /prog/ is there some sort of filter for nsfw pictures? I''m not sure whats exactly the point of this if i cannot reply to posts from different instances and there are not accounts so its effectively centralized but i might be the retard here because im not 100% sure does activitypub work i hope you dont save ips or anything
R: 2 i love apple
